Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does the tuition have to be paid in full or is it possible to make payments?
A. Tuition can be paid in monthly increments.
Q. Where do the kids live  during the season?
A. Housing is provided by a local apartment complex.
Q. Do the kids live on their own or is there adult supervision on hand?
A. Coaches are in the vicinity if needed in addition to complex security.
Q. What meals are included in the meal plan?
A. Lunch and dinner are provided Monday throuh Friday.
Q. Where are the meals prepared?
A. Meals are served by a local restaurant.
Q. What classes are offered at Southwest Academy?
A. Everyone is required to attend our ACT Course, Life Skills Classes, as well as the Health and Wellness Seminar.
Q. Can my son earn college credit hours while attending Southwest Academy?
A. The NCAA allows each individual to register for up to 6 credit hours per semester during the academic year.
Q. What percentage of former players have gone to college?
A. Eighty-five percent of previous participants are competing at the collegiate level.
Q. What teams do you compete against as a post-graduate/prep school?
A. Our schedule consists of junior colleges and other prep programs nationwide.
Q. How many games will you play during the season?
A. A minimum of 30 games are scheduled for the regular season.
Q. How does the team travel to and from all games?
A. Predicated on the distance we would travel via team van or commercial airline.
Q. When does registration start for the upcoming season?
A. Registration starts November 1st and remains open based on roster availability.
